18 - Week 3 2ieme: In a tube! - Geneva

 Tuesday, March 11

It was another early start this morning but a good day at work; I think by the end of this week I'll have had most of the initial conversations and equipment observations I'll need.  I set out at lunch to sit with some new people I'd seen at a meeting earlier in the morning; turns out they were some really fun guys.  I told one of them about me melting some raclette slices in the microwave and he said not to tell any Swiss people or my safety might not be guaranteed... before admitting that he'd also done it (to avoid letting it go bad 😂)

After work, I made a quick stop by the grocery store before heading to the pool.  It felt good to get in the water again and helped clear my head for a bit.  The water polo team was getting ready to enter the water when I left and there was still a judo class going on across from the pool.

It's weird, the Swiss seem to have this preference for sauces and pastes to be in squeeze tubes.  It's a perfectly valid solution ...but at what weird, twisty cost?

I went for a swim again tonight and this time noticed that the Schweizermeister him/herself once graced these halls with their presence in 2008.
